Mental Health Information

Mental illness and mental health issues can disrupt a child's ability to think and feel, their ability to relate to others, their mood and even their daily functions. Problems with mental health can affect anyone, regardless of age, race, religion, etc; they are not the result of any personal weakness.

Serious mental illnesses include depression, anxiety disorders, ADHD and bi-polar disorder, among others. However, most of these illnesses are treatable in a variety of ways. In our resources section you will find information and symptoms on some of the most common illnesses, as well as information on how to cope as a parent.
