- Psychiatric Intake Response Center (PIRC), located at Akron Children's Hospital, is a special mental health referral service linking families to a wide range of behavioral health services for children and teens in Summit County and beyond. PIRC is staffed by licensed independent social workers and licensed professional clinical counselors specially trained to assess a child’s mental, emotional and behavioral health care needs.
